Rhône-Alpes Students

Welcome to ORA!

As an exchange student, you are expected to engage in full-time, NON-DEGREE study at your host university for a maximum of one academic year. You are responsible for all aspects of your participation in the Program, including, but not limited to, your health, safety, lodging, course selection, study program, travel plans, legal status and financial obligations. For further, more detailed information about the exchange, study and life in Canada, please review the Rhône-Alpes Student Handbook below.

In order to assist you in preparing for your exchange adventure, a pre-departure Orientation Workshop will be held in Lyon in May. Details of the workshop will be available in the very near future. Attendance at this workshop is not mandatory but all participants are encouraged to attend.

You are also invited to attend an Incoming Student Orientation Workshop in Toronto at the end of August. This workshop is for incoming students on the four Ontario exchange programs and includes students from France, Jiangsu, Germany, and India. It is an opportunity to meet many new friends from various countries and to experience a bit of Canadian culture. Attendance at this workshop is not mandatory but all participants are encouraged to attend.

Remember, you will be seen as a representative of your home university, the ORA Program as a whole, and France. We hope that you enjoy your exchange.
